UPDATE: Name released of woman killed in accident near Newell

NEAR NEWELL, Iowa (KTIV) -

Officials have released the name of a woman killed in a two vehicle accident near Newell, Iowa Thursday morning.

20-year-old Ashley Kruse of Aurelia, Iowa died after the vehicle she was a passenger in failed to yield at a rural intersection.

Authorities say the driver of the car, 22-year-old Logan Davis of Newell, was flown to Mercy Medical where his condition is being withheld per the family's request.

The driver of the second vehicle, 42-year-old Kurt Wolff, was taken to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
