Even though there is not a lot of ice for anglers to ice fish on, that didn't change the plans of Nebraska Game and Parks officials Wednesday.
Officials released 4,500 Rainbow Trout into Crystal Cove in South Sioux City, Nebraska for anglers to catch.
The fish are about 11 inches long and the water temperature is 37 degrees.
Officials say the fish are still biting despite the lack of ice.
"Generally, like the shoreline around here, cloudier days are better. Then once you get ice on it the weather really won't be a factor," said Joe Cassidy, Nebraska Game and Parks.
Officials say you must have a Nebraska fishing license with a trout stamp to catch fish and the limit is five a day.
