Conference aims to help Siouxland farmers maximize profit in 2012

A conference to help Siouxland farmers maximize profitability in 2012 is planned next month in Sioux Center, Iowa. Called "Ag Decisions 2012" it will be held at the New Life Reformed Church conference center on Wednesday, February 1st from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Organizers call it an opportunity to get the latest information and updates on the outlook for agriculture, locally and globally. Sessions will include ones on the commodities outlook, the 2012 crop insurance program, soil fertility, and farm financial management. The keynote speaker will be Jason Henderson of the Omaha branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

Cost for the conference, which includes lunch, is $25. You can pre-register by calling the Sioux County Extension office at 712-737-4230.
