SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The Iowa Task Force Urban Search and Rescue Team which is based out of Sioux City will get some new equipment.
On Monday, the city council will approve a purchase of seven thermal imagers from Heiman Inc out of Ashton, Iowa.
All seven imagers will cost over $56,000 total which was paid for by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security.
The new equipment will be used to search for victims and see how full a hazardous liquid may be.
