ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (KTIV) -
A rural Estherville, Iowa man is facing charges after police say he left the scene of an accident that claimed the life of his wife. Emmet County sheriff's officials the accident happened Saturday at the intersection of 120th Street and 560th Avenue in Emmet County. Authorities say 32-year-old Amanda Polzin was ejected from the pickup truck 29-year-old Jason Polzin was driving after it overturned on the roadway.
Sheriff's officials say Jason Polzin and another passenger, his 33-year-old brother Jeremy Polzin, left the scene, and were later found by Emmet County officers. Jason Polzin now faces a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, but authorities say more charges may be filed.
