Seminar addresses whether online actions can do real life harm
A special seminar being offered at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska on Wednesday will address online actions and conversations. The presentation is part of Healthy Hawks week on the NECC campus. The seminar is free and open to all students and the public. Guest speaker C.L. Lindsay is an attorney and the author of the best selling book "The College Student's Guide to the Law." Lindsay's program is called "What you do online CAN come back to haunt you!" He will discuss a number of web-based topics, including plagiarism, intellectual property, Facebook and Myspace rights, privacy issues, campus computing and more. He will also go over how these things could affect your ability to get a job. The program will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the Cox Activities Center Theater on the campus of Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
