DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -
Monday in Nebraska district court, 53-year-old John Baker pled "not guilty" for the second degree murder of his girlfriend, Kelly Alspach. Back in October, police allege Baker killed Alspach in her South Sioux City home.
Autopsy results showed she died from a blow to the head and positional asphyxiation.
Her body was found hidden in a window seat.
Baker faces a minimum of 20 years, to life in prison.
His bond is set at $1.5 million.
Baker's next appearance will be for a pretrial conference, Feb. 28 at 1:00 p.m.
