The South Dakota Beef Industry Council is asking dairy farmers and ranchers to fill out surveys on the beef check off program.
The council administers the one-dollar check off on cattle sold in the state.
Officials say they want to get producers involved in the process and engage them more fully in the program.
Survey responses will be summarized and the results will be presented to the board this summer prior to planning of the 2013 fiscal year budget.
