Spencer, IA plant closes

It is the last work day for employees at a Spencer, Iowa plant.

Animal Health International announced earlier this month the closing of it's DVM Resources facility in Spencer.

According to Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, after DVM resources merged with Animal Health International, INC the company decided they had facilities that didn't make business sense to keep open.

13 other facilities have been closed. Spencer is the 14th.

While 17 employees will be affected by the closure... the facility will still be used to hold inventory.
