Spencer, IA bank buying branches of competitor

SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -

Northwest Bank of Spencer, Iowa is buying branches of another bank in the region. Last week, Northwest announced an agreement with Liberty Bank, of Des Moines, to purchase four branches in Spirit Lake and Arnolds Park, Iowa. The plan is to have the purchase complete by March 31st. Northwest plans to send more details to Liberty customers at those locations before then.

The purchase is subject to regulatory approval.
