SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -

A South Dakota rancher has been sentenced to 1 1/2 years of probation and fined $2,500 for defrauding the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.
Seventy-one-year-old Donald Dunlavy of Clark also was ordered to pay $500 in restitution.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Dunlavy was indicted with others for conspiring to falsely obtain grazing privileges from the tribe and avoid paying the tribe's grazing fee of $6 per head per month. Dunlavy pleaded guilty to a theft charge last November.
