Nana's Italian Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ingredients for meatballs:
1 lb. ground chuck (85% lean)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp dried chopped onion
1 tsp Parmesan Cheese or Parmesan-Romano Mix
2 Eggs
Italian Bread Crumbs
Ingredients for Sauce:
12 oz. can tomato paste (with Italian Herbs)
48 oz water
1 Tbs. sugar
1 lb spaghetti, penne or other pasta
Directions:
Combine tomato paste and water in sauce pan, add sugar. While sauce is warming, combine ingredients for meatballs in mixing bowl. Roll into 1.5" diameter balls, adding bread crumbs until firm. Place raw meatballs into sauce mixture once it begins boiling. Let sit in sauce for first 10 minutes before stirring. Cook an additional 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. If sauce too thick, add water to thin it out. Prepare pasta as directed on package. Set meatballs aside when fully cooked. Combine pasta and sauce and serve.
