SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
We haven't had a lot of snow this season, so it's been quite awhile since Old Man Winter dropped six inches of snow on the Sioux City area.
And that meant traffic trouble.
Check out the scene in the 5200 block of Hamilton Boulevard.
It's an SUV teetering on a four foot retaining wall.
Authorities say the driver had just dropped off a passenger and was getting out of an driveway that inclines.
That's when the front end of her SUV slid.
Firefighters used wenches and chains to stabilize it and pulled the driver out of the SUV.
"Took longer to actually get the vehicle stabilized and make sure that we weren't going to lose control of the vehicle down the hill any further, so that was our main concern to make sure the vehicle was stabilized, safe for us to enter and safe for the occupant as well," said Robert Wilson, Assistant Fire Chief.
The driver was shaken up but ok.
