Garbage truck ends up on front lawn

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Slick roads put a garbage truck on the front lawn of a home Monday morning.

At about 11, residents at this house on W. 4th St. heard a loud boom. They looked out the window and found a garbage truck sliding toward their house.

The truck clipped a utility pole, knocked over a fence and stopped just short of their front porch.

"I came running, and then I looked outside and it was a big garbage truck in front of us," said Ana Galicia, a witness.

No one was hurt. The truck was quickly removed.
