UPDATE: Suspect identified in Norfolk shooting

NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) -

Police have released more information about the suspect they believe was involved in a Valentine's Day shooting in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Shortly after noon on Tuesday, police were called to 706 South 3rd Street after being notified that a woman had been shot.

They found 33-year-old Edna Gutierrez (also known as Edna Little Elk), lying on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to the head.

Gutierrez was airlifted to the University of Nebraska Medical Center where she is listed in critical condition.

34-year-old Carlos Alfredo Arevalo-Martinez has been identified as a person of interest in this case.

He's described as a white (Hispanic) male, 5'7", weighing about 130 pounds.

Anyone with information about Arevalo's whereabouts is asked to contact the Norfolk Police Division at 402-644-8700.
