YANKTON, S.D. (KTIV) -
In Yankton, South Dakota folks are getting up and getting active.
The event called "Get Up and Play" runs all weekend long.
Activities include swimming, aerobics, and use of the Summit Center for just a dollar a day.
Parks and recreation director Todd Larson says the festival was created to get people moving during the cold winter months.
"Just to help with the winter blues and get people up and moving and active and socializing and all those good things," said Todd Larson, Parks and Recreations Director.
Events are also being held at the archery complex and the ice rink.
Activities run through Monday.
