SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Monday night, Thomas and his family took part in the kickoff celebration for the American Heart Association.
Thomas and his two brothers will serve as Heart Princes for this year's Siouxland Heart Walk.
Eighty teams have signed up so far and they're looking for more.
For the Anderson family, they have lots of reasons to take part.
"Our family motto is awareness and that's what this heart walk is, awareness. And it leads to research because of the funds that are raised in this heart walk. So awareness leads to research and all research leads to save lives," said Naomi Anderson, honorary family.
The Siouxland Heart Walk is June 2nd at the Anderson Dance Pavilion.
It's a one to three mile event.
