McNugget finds McControversy on eBay - KTIV News 4 Sioux City IA: News, Weather and Sports

Remember that three-year-old Chicken McNugget that looked like George Washington? Owner, Rebekah Speight, put it on eBay to raise money to send some of her church's kids to camp.

Last night it reached a bid of $10,200, until eBay took it down. Speight says the website told her the McNugget violated state and federal regulations because it was expired food.

Late this Friday morning, though, eBay reconsidered and re-listed it, saying;

"When an item becomes a high profile item, as your item has been listed in a few articles, we are willing to make exceptions to help your cause," said eBay Customer Support in an email.

The price has gone back to zero. But, eBay says they've contacted any bidders to let them know it's been re-listed.
