Trial pushed back for former Iowa State Trooper accused of burglary

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A former Iowa State Trooper is set for trial in October.

38-year-old Mikel Yauk, of Fayette, is accused of breaking into a woman's home, performing a sex act on the woman while she was asleep, and taking her cell phone.

Yauk is charged with 1st degree burglary.

Yauk's trial was set for last week, but has been moved back to October 31. He resigned from the patrol at the end of 2011.
