Two Norfolk, Nebraska men arrested in separate incidents
Two Norfolk, Nebraska men are in jail following their arrests in two separate cases. One is being held in connection with a burglary in Norfolk last summer while the other is being held in connection with a stolen vehicle. The burglary arrest is the result of an investigation that has been going on for nearly seven months. Norfolk Police say 19-year-old Michael Zoubek was arrested in connection with the burglary at a local filling station on July 4th of last year. Fuel and cash was stolen in the incident. Officials say blood evidence and fingerprints were recovered from the scene and sent to the Nebraska State Patrol crime lab for DNA testing and identification. The results developed Zoubek as a suspect. The second arrest occurred early Wednesday morning when police spotted 25-year-old Jose Fitzgerald with a stalled vehicle that he says ran out of gas. A check on the vehicle confirmed that it was stolen from a local business that was burglarized earlier in the week. Along with the possession of stolen property charge, Fitzgerald is also charged with burglary and possession of methamphetamine. Both men are currently being held in the Madison County Jail.
