Dubuque County boat accident suspect turns himself in

DUBUQUE COUNTY (KWWL) -

An Illinois man has turned himself in after a fatal boat accident in Dubuque.

Kent Hoffman, 39, of Galena went to the Dubuque County Sheriff's office Thursday on a warrant charging him with involuntary manslaughter and operating while intoxicated.

The accident happened September 1 on the Mississippi River.

Authorities said Hoffman's boat ran into 45-year-old James Sutton's boat, killing him.
