LYTTON, Iowa (KTIV) -
Is there a connection? That's the question on most folks mind after a string of robberies in northwest Iowa this year. And Friday, a fifth bank was added to that list. Officials in Sac County say the Heritage Bank of Lytton was held up just before 1:00 p.m. Friday. The suspect didn't display a weapon, but authorities say he managed to escape on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Sac County Sheriff Ken McClure said he wasn't able to speculate if Friday's robbery is related to the others in the county, or the robbery in nearby Crawford County back in January.
The suspect is described as a 6'0" tall white male. He was wearing sunglasses, a blue hoodie and a surgical mask. If you any information leading to the arrest of the suspect, please contact the Sac County Sheriff's Office at (712) 662-7127.
