San Francisco, CA (CNN) -
On Easter Sunday, many people went to church. Others enjoyed a family dinner or got together for an Easter Egg hunt. And some others took part in a San Francisco tradition -- the 12th annual "Bring Your Own Big Wheels" race. It's one of those things that has to be seen to be really understood. No rubber wheels were allowed, just plastic ones. The stakes were high. They were racing for glory and hand-made trophies. There was no fee to participate, although donations were accepted to cover the event permit and portable bathrooms.
