Hearing set for Platinum Grain storage bin project

Near ANTHON, Iowa (KTIV) -

A grain storage project is moving forward in Woodbury County.

Platinum Ethanol of Arthur, Iowa is proposing to build a new grain elevator near Anthon.

Supervisors have set a May 8th date for a public hearing on the matter.

The company says it's planned five-point-six million dollar grain elevator will be a closer option for farmers around Anthon.

The business will be spread over 20 acres.

It will just create one full time job, but officials say there will be the potential for hiring more.
