COPY-Incumbents successful in South Dakota city/school elections

City and school races were held across the state of South Dakota on Tuesday.

Here are some of the results, here in Siouxland.

In North Sioux City, incumbent Harold Beavers will retain his seat for another two years in Ward One.

In Ward Two, Dan Parks beat out Scott Cole and Brian Damon.

Incumbents for Yankton City commissioners will also keep their seats for another three years.

David Carda, Pauline Akland and David Knoff were all winners.

Matthew Pietz, a new comer, has been elected to the Yankton School Board, along with incumbent Kathy Greeneway.

Elk Point has re-elected its mayor.

Isabel Trobaugh beat out Steven Nelson.

And in Beresford, Daniel Williams was elected for a two year term in Ward 1.

Gary Lambert will serve in Ward two.
