Onawa woman charged with drowning son

ONAWA, Iowa (KTIV) -

An arraignment date is set for an Onawa, Iowa woman, charged with drowning her 15-month-old son.

Ashley Cameron, 24, has been formally charged with first-degree murder.

She was arrested earlier this month.

Authorities say her son, Markis Dahms, died February 11th, after Cameron allegedly held the toddler under a running faucet in the bathtub in their home until he drowned.

She's scheduled to be arraigned May 14th.
