South Sioux City thumps Crete 10-1 to open district play

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb (KTIV) -

The South Sioux City Cardinals baseball team advanced to Monday's B-4 District Final with a 10-1 victory over Crete Saturday afternoon at Voss Field.

Leading 3-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning, the Cardinals added two more runs on back-to-back bases loaded walks.

South Sioux City then exploded for five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, highlighted by Alex Mogensen's RBI double.
