McGowan hopes BPI puts people back to work as soon as possible

Siouxland Chamber president Chris McGowan gives BPI credit for keeping workers at those three plants on the payroll for two full months after the announcement they'd suspend operations.

Locally, people rallied around BPI by asking local grocers to keep LFTB on their shelves.

But, during "News Four: Live at Five", McGowan told me that message didn't spread as far, or as fast, as BPI hoped to reverse the damage done to its reputation. Chris McGowan, Siouxland Chamber President says, "As I've said to some people, it only takes a few minutes to burn a house down. It takes quite a while to rebuild it. Thankfully, BPI is working with internal public relations, external public relations, to rebuild that business, and rebuild those markets. And, hopefully, they'll put those people to work as soon as possible."
