South Dakota man dies in early morning traffic accident
NEAR ROCK VALLEY, Iowa (KTIV) -
An early morning accident west of Rock Valley, Iowa claimed the life of a South Dakota man.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff's Office, Canton, South Dakota resident, Keith Steier, 28, was headed southbound on Cherry Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Friday morning. Steier crested a hill, lost control, and collided with a straight truck driven by Jesse Maasen, 24, of Rock Valley.
Steier was pronounced dead at the scene by the Assistant Sioux County Medical Examiner. Maasen was taken to Hegg Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
