University of Iowa students jailed on assault charges

Posted:
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -

Two University of Iowa students are in jail for allegedly assaulting a woman on two separate occasions on campus.
Police say Hayes O. Obinna-Uzoh and Kenneth D. Clayton, both 19, were charged with assault and false imprisonment.
The Iowa City Press Citizen reports that Obinna-Uzoh also faces an extortion charge.
They are in the Johnson County Jail, where a spokeswoman says they do not yet have attorneys.
Police say on April 18 one of the men allegedly recorded a woman stripping in Obinna-Uzoh's dorm room. The men allegedly threatened to post the video on the Internet unless she performed a sex act. A second incident was reported in May.
Obinna-Uzoh, a native of Nigeria and Clayton, from Washington, D.C., are students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
