New layoffs at Beef Products, Incorporated are just the latest for a company that hasn't had a layoff in its 30-year history.
And, given the derogatory, two-word term used to describe LFTB in social media, the president of the Siouxland Chamber believes that none of this is BPI's fault. Chris McGowan, Siouxland Chamber President says, "There's an awful lot of talk about bullying these days. And, quite honestly I think there's bullying going on here, and it's unfortunate. At the end of the day, I think we have to ask ourselves-- and I think, quite honestly, some major networks need to ask themselves-- 'what did we accomplish in this campaign?' I think it's time that some people were very candid in their responses to that."
McGowan says the Chamber will support those laid-off workers as they search for new jobs.
