Posted:
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Firefighters had to evacuate folks living in a home and two other downtown buildings after a construction crew hit an underground gas line, Tuesday night.

A little before six that crew was working in the area of 10th and Nebraska when they hit a natural gas line.

It took MidAmerican Energy crews about an hour to stop the leak and restore service to the area.

Folks were allowed to return to their homes after that.
