
The X's lead the American Association with 19 errors.The Sioux City Explorers committed their 18th and 19th errors of the season in a 6-5, 11-inning loss to the St. Paul Saints Saturday.
With the loss, the X's are now 5-5 on the season.
Heading into the game the Explorers were tied for first with the Amarillo Sox with 17 errors through the first nine games of the season.
The X's committed two errors in the bottom of the first inning, allowing the Saints to a take a 1-0 lead.
In the top of the second inning, Sioux City took a 2-1 on home runs from Kris Sanchez and Michael Lang.
St. Paul answered with a homer of its own off the bat of Tanner Townsend to tie the game up at two.
Down 5-4 in the top of the eight inning, Sanchez blasted his second round-tripper of the day to tie the game. Sanchez finished the game 2-for-4.
Tied at five after nine innings, both Sioux City and St. Paul battled to the 11th inning.
In the home half of the frame Jim Rapoport blasted a one-out, walk-off double, scoring Jon Townsend to end the game.
Sioux City returns home Tuesday to begin a six-game homestand.
