SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A staple of Siouxland's automotive industry will soon change owners. After 67 years of serving the Siouxland area, Hoak Motors will sell to Midwest dealer Billion Automotive. Terms of the deal weren't immediately disclosed.

The company directs its humble beginnings to its founding by Richard S. Hoak Sr. in 1945. Then called Dickson Hoak Company, Hoak Sr. sold his business to Dick Dickson in 1954. In 1964, Dickson added the Cadillac franchise. The company's last make addition came in 1996 when the company purchased Nissan. In 2004, the company built its "state-of-the-art" dealership on Singing Hills Blvd.
