Macy, Neb. man sees prison time for sex with child

MACY, Neb. (KTIV) -

A Macy, Nebraska man is going to prison for having sex with a child.

A federal judge sentenced Leland Parker Junior to 10 years behind bars.

Parker committed the crime 13 years ago, at the age of 16.

The victim was 9-years-old at the time.

Parker assaulted the child in her grandmother's basement on the Omaha Indian Reservation.

The child's mother learned of the assault only after finding a letter her daughter wrote to herself, describing the anguish she experienced.
