SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A group that's passionate about its culture, is sharing it with the entire community this weekend. The 12th Greek Fest is underway at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
The event got underway Friday and features various ethnic foods like Gyros and Baklava.
"You're not going to find anything like this anywhere in the state or maybe the tri-state region. You'd have to go as far as Chicago to get authentic Greek foods and pastries like we're able to provide here," said Mary Bariatakis.
There is also Greek music and dancing.
"I had a grandson that just came back from Greece so he's going to be excited to come and participate in the dancing because everyone joins in. You don't have to be Greek to dance," said Helen Siganes.
Greek Fest continues on Saturday, June 9th.
Admission is free.
