Northwest Iowa casino marks first anniversary

LARCHWOOD, Iowa (KTIV) -

This weekend marks one year since another Siouxland casino opened its doors. Grand Falls Casino near Larchwood, Iowa was a 120-million dollar project.

The resort includes 900 slot machines 24 table games, a 97 Room Hotel, 3 restaurants and a 12-hundred seat Event Center

Iowa's 18 state regulated casinos added nearly $1 billion to Iowa's economy last year.

$35 million of that was supported by the opening of the Grand Falls Casino. It draws gamblers from South Dakota and Minnesota as well as Iowa.
