Opening arguments begin Wednesday morning in the re-trial of Bradley Gregg. He's the Sioux CIty man charged with involuntary manslaughter in a deadly incident outside a Sioux City bar in October 2010. Police say Gregg struck 28 year old Joe McDonald of Ida Grove in the face after exchanging words with McDonald's wife. Gregg's first trial last September ended with a deadlocked jury. His retrial is expected to last up to 10 days.
A Remsen, Iowa man is seriously hurt after his tractor is struck by a train at a rural crossing. Authorities say 30-year-old David Keffeler didn't stop at the crossing shortly before six Tuesday evening. The impact caused the tractor to spin and land in the ditch. Keffeler was thrown from the cab. He was airlifted to Mercy Medical where his condition is unknown at this time.
It's almost time for splashdown in Norfolk, Nebraska. The new Memorial Aquaventure Water Park is set to open Friday at noon. The new city-run water park will have a capacity of more than 600 people and has something fun for swimmers of all ages. Among its features are a wave pool, water cannons, a piano that squirts water and plays music when you step on the keys, a floating water walk and lots of slides.
