SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Did you happen to see all the semis and tour buses parked outside the Tyson Events Center the past several days? Everybody was tight-lipped about what was going on, but now we are told the production crew for legendary rockers Aerosmith were inside staging tech rehersals for the band's national tour which starts Saturday in Minneapolis.
Events and Facilities Executive Director Aran Rush says allowing big names to use the Events Center in ways like this makes for good relationships with promoters and can help Sioux City land big-name acts.
Aerosmith played the Tyson Events Center in May of 2004, but Sioux City is not on the schedule for this national tour.
Rush said 150 Siouxlanders worked day and night for five days helping finalize the stage design and show logistics from set up to tear down.
Rush said Aerosmith's production crew was happy with the facility and thanked the people of Sioux City for their hospitality.
