Police: Home invasion not connected with recent sex abuse reports

Posted:
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Sioux City police say the home invasion is not connected to three other incidents that happened last month where there were reports of sexual abuse. Those three events happened in the same night, in different parts of town. At one home, a man was reported performing a lewd act on a porch. He then allegedly entered a north side home, sexually assaulting a teen in her bedroom.

Then, went through an open window at a home in Morningside and attempted to assault another teen in her bed. The girl screamed, and the suspect ran away. That suspect is still at large.

He's described as a thin, black man, taller than 6-feet-4. He wore dark clothing and his face was partially covered. Anyone with information can call Crimestoppers at 258-TIPS
