Officials say the invasion happened at this home at 504 39th Street Place in Sioux City Wednesday morning.

More information was released following the brutal beating of two people with a crowbar on Sioux City's northside. One of those people, died as a result.
Thursday morning, the suspect, 23-year old James Kroll, went before a judge.
He's charged with First-Degree Murder, Attempted Murder and Burglary.
Police say Kroll struck 54-year-old Jeffery Moravek and 54-year-old Mary Tope over the head twice each with a crowbar in this home at 504 39th Street Place just before 3:00am Wednesday.
Moravek later died of his injuries.
Tope remains hospitalized at Mercy Medical Center with what police termed as severe head trauma. Tope's daughter was also in the house at the time of the invasion but was not hurt.
Police say the victims knew Kroll, but they are not giving details of the relationship.
Kroll's bond was set at one-million dollars. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 25th
