Bo Obama meets KTIV's cameras

Posted:
WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTIV) -

The White House has gone to the dogs.

Bo Obama is the first family's pet Portuguese Water dog. He joined the Obamas in April of 2009.

Bo was chosen, in part, because Malia Obama's allergies required the first family to get a hypoallergenic breed.

Bo posed for the cameras when his handler took him out for a walk on the south lawn just a few feet from where KTIV was broadcasting on Monday morning.
