SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The native Sioux Cityan, who's known to TV fans as "The Beav", is coming back to help raise money for catholic schools in the Diocese of Sioux City.
Jerry Mathers from "Leave It to Beaver" fame will headline the 16th annual Bishop's Dinner in October. Mathers was born in Sioux City in 1948. When he was one year old, his family moved to California where he started his TV career.
At the Bishop's Dinner, Mathers will give a speech on how the American family has changed over the years. He'll also speak of his own Catholic faith.
The fundraiser is Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Sioux City Convention Center. Tickets go on sale on Aug. 27th.
