SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The prosecution has rested its case in the trial of a Sioux City man charged in a fatal fight.
Brad Gregg's defense attorneys have started presenting their evidence.
The state claims Gregg threw punches that killed Joe McDonald of Ida Grove, Iowa outside a Sioux City bar two years ago.
Gregg says he acted in self-defense.
To support his claim, three witnesses testified today the victim swung first.
Witnesses say Gregg wasn't hit, but returned with a punch of his own.
McDonald was struck in the face, falling to the ground.
Gregg is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and Assault Causing Serious Injury.
He'll serve up to ten years if convicted.
This is Brad Gregg's second trial for the fight after a mistrial last year.
