Charges will not be filed in suicide of Kenneth Weishuhn

PAULLINA, Iowa (KTIV) -

The O'Brien County attorney won't press charges following the suicide of a South O'Brien high school student.

This past April, 14-year-old Kenneth Weishuhn took his own life.

In a statement, O'Brien County attorney Micah Schreurs said there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute "specific" individuals for any "specific" crime connected to Weishuhn's suicide.

Family members say Weishuhn committed suicide because he was bullied both at school and online for being gay.

We'll have more on this story, coming up tonight on News Four.
