Postal officials say Sioux City mail route times will change

Posted:
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

There will be some changes coming to mail routes in Sioux City. Sioux City Postmaster Lori Slater-Trautwein says the economic downturn is affecting the volume of mail.

She says "In order to remain economically viable, the Postal Service must make changes to its operations, staffing, and facilities to match current mail volume and to maintain current levels of service." That means you may get your mail at a different time during the day than you're used to. Slater-Trautwein says the changes will help them continue affordable customer service for everyone.
