Woman charged after hitting Siouxland student with her car

AMES, Iowa (KTIV) -

Ames, Iowa police have charged a 44-year-old woman after a hit-and-run that injured a Siouxland man. Shelly Habhab was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after police say she struck 22-year-old Tyler Clark, then left the scene.

Clark, a Correctionville, Iowa student attending ISU, says he was riding his skateboard to the library when the incident happened back on April 1st.

Police were able to identify the care with the help of security video.
