Former NCAA champion Tyler Mulder once again won his 800 meter heat at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Former University of Northern Iowa NCAA champion Tyler Mulder once again won his 800m heat at the U.S. Olympic Trials, advancing to Monday night's final with a time of 1:46.14 at Hayward Field. Mulder recorded the third-fastest time among the 16 semifinalists on Saturday evening.
The Orange City Unity Christian grad ran on the inside of Lane one for nearly the entire race, making his way to the front of the pack on the backstretch of the second lap and pulling away for an easy victory.
Mulder also won his opening round heat on Friday evening, running 1:46.81 in that round. He owns a personal-best performance of 1:44.83.
The eight-man final is scheduled for 9:47 p.m. (CT) on Mon., June 25. The top three finishers qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team.
