The U.S. Supreme Court could rule Monday on the President's Health Care Reform Law. The high court said it would rule on the matter in June, so that means the decision will come this week. A new Reuters poll shows that a majority of Americans oppose President Obama's health-care law-although they support most of its provisions, such as letting parents keep their children on their policies until age 26.
Police are investigating a crash on a Sioux City street just after midnight Sunday morning. They say the driver of a pickup truck hit a parked car in the 19-hundred block of Summit, sending it into a third car. They say the driver continued into the next block, clipping a utility pole, before flipping over. The driver's name has not been released. Police do not believe alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
Staff Sergeant James Justice died in Afghanistan a year ago, but he hasn't been forgotten. Classmates of Staff Sergeant Justice's from I-K-M Manning held their 15 year class reunion this weekend, but took time to honor their fallen friend. At their reunion Sunday, his classmates dedicated a bronze fallen soldier statue, along with a picture of Justice in Manilla's Bandshell Park.
The military's newest ship is officially named after Sioux City. During a ceremony in Sioux City this weekend, the Secretary of the Navy declared the name of the country's newest Littoral Combat Ship the USS Sioux City. Work to build the ship begins next year. It will officially join the fleet in 2016.
