NORFOLK, Neb. (US92) -

The trial of a man accused in a Norfolk shooting on Valentine's Day has been delayed again.

Madison County District Court Judge James Kube sustained a motion to continue the trial of Carlos Arevalo- Martinez until July 30th.

Arevalo-Martinez's attorney Doug Stratton says he needs to wait for a deposition scheduled for Friday before moving forward.

Arevalo-Martinez is accused of shooting Edna Gutierrez of Norfolk at her home in February, then holding police at bay during a standoff in Stanton two days later.

His trial has now been delayed to September 4th.
